Training for Child Rights Activist and Regional NCPA Workshop

3 day training on Child Rights Monitoring and Reporting System for Child Rights Activists, reached its 3rd phase with the completion of this training held at Dharan. The participants were active and engaged in varous methods of monotring and reporting system in compilance with the state laws, rules and regulations. The objective, scope and the outcome of the training remains similar to the ones held at Neplagunj and Palpa respectively.

Following the training on the 3rd day, regional Workshop of NCPA was held. The workshop was led by Mr Prakash Khatiwada current board member of NCPA. The participants were made aware regarding NCPA along with the mission, vision and the reasons for its formation. The workshop was held to expand NCPA membership, therefore Mr Khatiwada explained in detail regarding NCPA, and also spoke regarding the membership procedures and the eligibility required to get membership. During the end of the session, all participant’s reflected positive outlook towards obtaining membership and the participants were also guided step by step in regards to the procedure of the membership.

National Child Protection Alliance (NCPA) is a national network of NGOs working on Child Protection Issues all over the nation. NCPA is established in 2010 focusing on working to develop solidarity, actions, and campaign against all forms of violence, abuse, and discrimination that void the rights of children. We have been continuously raising our voices at the International, National, and Local Arena to promote a child-protective environment and system. The NCPA has a member of 50 organizations from Seven Provinces that are working in 28 districts and 5 metropolitan cities, 7 sub-metropolitan cities, 59 municipalities, and 30 rural municipalities.
